Cape Mendocino is the western most point on the California coast. Although famous for its rough waters and strong winds, on calmer days the cape treats anglers to a fisherman's paradise. Towering headlands and rock islands create a dramatic backdrop while you reel in your prize Ling Cod. This section of coastline is part of the legendary Lost Coast. A place which is so remote and with limited access, it is most easily reached by boat. These waters are famous for their abundant sea life and are mostly unknown to kayak fishermen. Be among the few who have ever kayak fished the cape.
North Coast Sportfishing offers mothershipping to the cape. Let us take you and your Kayak down to the cape for the day. We will deploy your Kayak and get you safely aboard it. We will then stand by and put your catch on ice while you go out and get another. When you're ready, we will get you and your Kayak safely back aboard. We are the first charter company to offer this service in our area, and with the exploding popularity of Kayak Fishing, we know this is going to be a big hit! We are limited to 4 experienced kayakers at this time, this adventure is not suited to novice paddlers and participants must be in good physical condition so that getting in and out of your kayak can be done safely. Good calm weather is essential for this trip, so watch the weather and talk to your buddies. Let's put a Cape Kayak Adventure together!
